  • Paleolithic - Old Stone Age
  • Nomadic - Move from Place to Place
  • Neolithic - New Stone Age
  • Neolithic Revolution - A change from Hunting & Gathering to Farming & Herding
  • Agriculture - Farming
  • Surplus - an Extra Supply of Something
  • Subsistence - just enough for your needs
  • Specialization - Different people started producing/making different things and had different jobs.
  • Trade - an Exchange of Goods

Paleolithic

  • People Hunted and Gathered for food
  • People were Nomadic since they had to move once their food supply ran out
  • People often lived in Caves for shelter
  • People Painted scenes on Cave Walls.

  • People lived in Villages
  • People were Farming
  • People were Domesticating Plants & Animals
  • People started to Specialize their job duties
  • People started Religion
  • People started Cities
  • People created Government
  • People traded/barter
  • People created technology (writing to keep track of trading, tools for farming/irrigation)
  • People created laws to keep their society in order
